On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the final report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (2015–2025), our association took a solemn look at the past to honour the children who never came home, acknowledge the resilience of survivors, and move forward, together, toward a future rooted in respect and truth.
On September 30, Association Tinhinan invited its members and supporters to join Canada’s national commemoration on Parliament Hill, in Ottawa. Present on site, our association took part in a powerful and moving visual campaign, wearing and offering orange shirts — a symbol of hope, reconciliation, and solidarity — to several Indigenous families and families from visible minorities. This humble but powerful gesture reflects our commitment to living memory and sincere reconciliation.
“Wearing the orange shirt means carrying the voices of silence, the tears of the past, and the promise of a healed future.”
