16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

Every year, from November 25 to December 10, the international 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign mobilizes organizations and communities around the world.

For this campaign, Tinhinan took action to denounce these forms of violence, raise public awareness, and highlight local support and protection resources.

We invited four women to share their realities, experiences, and messages. Their words helped bring visibility to violence that is still too often silenced, gave voice to survivors, and underscored the importance of acting collectively to achieve justice.

Special attention was also given to the violence experienced by Indigenous women and girls, as well as those from visible minorities. Throughout the campaign, we shared information and resources to help those affected find listening, support, protection, and shelter services.

On December 10, 2025, Tinhinan published a visual bringing together messages from women in different regions of the world about their perceptions of violence. Their words show that such violence can take many forms and occur within couples, families, society, and institutions alike.

Through this campaign, Tinhinan reaffirms that the fight against violence toward women and girls is a collective responsibility. Let us continue to amplify their voices, share resources that can protect and save lives, and mobilize so that every woman and girl can live with dignity, safety, and respect.
